Amkeni Foundation is a registered youth-led non-profit organization founded in 2024. We believe that youth involvement in humanitarian and philanthropic initiatives would foster empowerment, self-reliance and sustainable development in refugee-host communities. We are currently implementing some of our programs in Rwamwanja refugee settlement with the aim to expand to other refugee-host communities in Uganda.

We understand and care about the struggles and needs of others. In charity work, compassion motivates individuals and organizations to support vulnerable people, alleviate suffering, and promote human dignity. It inspires acts of kindness and encourages a genuine commitment to improving lives.

Volunteerism is the selfless dedication of time, skills, and effort to serve others without expecting financial reward. Within charity organizations, volunteers play a vital role in implementing programs, reaching communities in need, and creating positive social impact. Volunteerism strengthens community bonds and fosters a culture of service and responsibility.

We share resources, whether money, time, knowledge, or material support, to benefit others. In the context of charity, generosity enables organizations to provide assistance, fund projects, and respond to community needs. It reflects a spirit of giving that helps create opportunities, hope, and lasting change for those facing challenges.
