Supporting Children’s Spiritual Growth
In many refugee-host communities, places of worship face limited space, resources, and personnel, making it difficult to conduct separate worship services for adults and children. As a result, many children miss opportunities to learn in environments designed specifically for their age and understanding.
Through the Sunday Service Program, Amkeni Foundation partners with local churches, mosques, Community Faith-Based Organizations (CFBOs), and other places of worship to support the organization of separate children’s Sunday school services that promote spiritual growth, positive values, literacy, and child development.
What We Do
Children’s Sunday School
Supporting separate worship services that allow children to learn, worship, and grow in age-appropriate settings.
Biblical Learning
Using Bible stories and scripture-based lessons to promote moral values, character development, and responsible citizenship.
Swahili Literacy
Integrating basic Swahili literacy into children’s learning to strengthen language development alongside scriptural education.
Community Partnerships
Working alongside local places of worship and Community Faith-Based Organizations to strengthen children’s ministry within refugee-host communities.
